Open Positions


The Facilities Maintenance Technician works as part of the Security & Maintenance department to ensure that the Museum is a consistently clean, well maintained and a welcoming environment for visitors. Duties are wide-ranging and include all aspects of custodial care and the opening and closing of the building. The incumbent reports to the Security/Maintenance Manager. Learn More >>


The International Women & Minorities Racing Museum (IWMRM) seeks a creative, strategic, and enthusiastic Grant Writer to aggressively identify foundation funding opportunities and generate awards; to research and write successful grant proposals; to work collaboratively with other IWMRM staff to identify and develop fundable programming; to help manage and supervise of stewardship for IWMRM relationships with all sources of corporate, foundation, and governmental funding. Coordinate the development of grant proposals and reporting working at the direction of the VP of External Relations and Development; fulfill all grant award reporting requirements. Support development and execution of concepts for funding proposals that align with the strategic priorities of the organization. 


The Curatorial Assistant provides support to all day-to-day aspects of the Exhibitions Department, including assisting in the planning, development, research, care and implementation of collection exhibitions, touring exhibitions and/or curated exhibitions organized with incoming loans, or touring exhibitions. The Curatorial Assistant reports to the Director of Curatorial Services. 


The Gallery Guide reports directly to the Visitor Services Manager. This position includes greeting and providing customer service to all Museum visitors, responding to inquiries, monitoring the galleries and safety of the visitors and art. This position conducts educational tours with school-age children and adults. In addition, the Gallery Guide assists the Visitor Services Department with special events. Learn
